Types and characteristics of oil filters
According to the material and structural form of the filter element, oil filters can be divided into mesh type, line gap type, paper filter element type, sintered oil filter, and magnetic oil filter. According to the different positions of oil filters, they can also be divided into suction filters, filter presses, and return oil filters. Considering the self-priming performance of pumps, suction oil filters are mostly coarse filters.
1.Line gap oil filter
The line gap oil filter is composed of steel or aluminum wires tightly wound around the outside of a cylindrical skeleton to form a filter element, which filters out impurities mixed in the liquid by relying on the small gaps between copper wires. Its structure is simple, with a large flow capacity and higher filtration accuracy than mesh oil filters, but it is not easy to clean and is mostly a return oil filter.
2.Net type oil filter
For a mesh oil filter, the filter element is made of copper mesh as the filtering material, wrapped in one or two layers of copper wire mesh on a plastic or metal cylindrical skeleton with many holes around it. The filtration accuracy depends on the number of copper mesh layers and the size of the mesh holes. This type of oil filter has a simple structure, high flow capacity, and easy cleaning, but it has low filtration accuracy and is generally used for the suction port of hydraulic pumps.

Precautions during operation
1. During the oil filtration process, when the water content in the turbine oil is too high, a large amount of oil foam will be generated in the vacuum tank. At this time, the anti valve should be opened, the vacuum should be reduced, and the oil foam in the observation hole should be kept below the center of the observation hole. During normal operation, the vacuum operation can be adjusted, but it is important to observe that the oil level in the vacuum tank is below the center hole.
2. The working temperature of the vacuum pump shall not exceed 75 degrees.
3. The temperature of the motor cannot exceed 60 degrees
4. Pay attention to the pressure gauge on the fine filter. If the gauge pressure is 0.4Mpa, the machine must be stopped to clean the filter screen.
5. If the oil intake decreases, immediately check the coarse filter. If the coarse filter screen is clogged, the machine must be stopped for cleaning.
